Contributions and support to the HPSIU – MoNHSR&C through University of Manitoba

The University of Manitoba has been involved in supporting the Government of Pakistan and provincial health departments since 2010. Such support has been through programmatic presence and technical assistance at the National AIDS control program, the Health Services Academy; and directly to the Health Planning Systems Strengthening and Information Analysis Unit (HPSIU), Mo NHSR&C since February 2020. The later support is based on a letter of Understanding between the Mo NHSR&C and the Institute of Global Public Health, University of Manitoba.  

Collaborative and consultative work of Mo NHSRC

Across 2020-2022, the HR placed at the HPSIU, Mo NHSR&C and CGPH Pakistan contributed in collaborative work of the Ministry with the following organizations

    • COVID-19 data analyses and summarizations
    • Teaching of Masters in Public Health Students (Epidemiology and Biostatistics)
    • Supervision of MPH students for research thesis

    • Developing and reviewing Pakistan’s Global Burden of Disease at the national and sub-national levels
    • COVID-19 disease projections review and consultations
